For us, that moment is finally here. ✈️
By the time you're reading this, we'll either be packing our last-minute essentials, triple-checking our passports for the hundredth time, or already walking the streets of Italy with a healthy mix of excitement, affogato and jet lag.
This isn't just another vacation. 🧳
It's our first time experiencing Italy together, and we're doing everything we can to soak in every moment.
Memories have a magical way of appreciating over time. 📈

Stop #1: Rome 🏟️
When’s the last time you thought about the Roman Empire?
For three days, we'll immerse ourselves in one of the most historic cities on the planet.
The Colosseum.
The Roman Forum.
Trevi Fountain.
The Pantheon.
Vatican City.
Places we've only seen in history books, documentaries, and on social media will suddenly be standing right in front of us.
If all goes according to plan, (darn tourist ticket vendors!) we'll be stepping onto the Arena Floor and venturing beneath the Colosseum where gladiators once waited before entering history.
Talk about perspective.

Stop #2: Florence 🌻
The birthplace of the Renaissance.
We'll trade ancient ruins for breathtaking architecture, incredible food, world-famous art, and the rolling Tuscan scenery we've admired in countless photos.
Winery tours and cooking classes.
I've always believed that some places look beautiful AND make you slow it down. (Benson Boone knows what we’re talking about)
We can’t wait for vineyard filled Florence to take our breath away and spoil us to the last drop.

Stop #3: La Spezia, Cinque Terre 🌊
Then comes the destination I've probably spent the most time daydreaming about.
Inspired by the Disney Movie Luca:
Cinque Terre.
Five colorful villages perched along dramatic cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean.
Four days. No rush. No checking boxes.
Just exploring, walking between villages, eating incredible seafood, watching sunsets, and embracing whatever pace Italy decides to set for us. 🚶♂️
Not to mention the beach for our first ever dip in the Mediterranean.
Sometimes the best memories come from the moments you never even planned.
Who knows where this wondrous fairytale land will take us!

Stop #4: Venice 🚤
Our final stop before a long day of numerous trains and our flight home.
No cars. No highways. No straight shots.
Just canals, bridges, winding alleyways, and centuries of history floating on the water.
It's one of those places that almost doesn't seem real until you're standing there.
And hopefully it’s still above sea level by the time you plan to visit. 🤓
We're looking forward to getting lost, whether intentional or not.
Sometimes the best way to discover a place is to stop trying to control every minute of it.
And just take a stroll to enjoy your surroundings to the full extent. 👣

More Than a Vacation 💝
Sure, this trip is about incredible food. 🍝
It's about breathtaking views. 🕶️
It's about checking a dream destination off our bucket list. 🪣
But for us, there’s more to it than that.
Life never fails to convince us that there's always another responsibility waiting.
Another project.
Another bill.
Another reason to postpone the things that fill our batteries back up.
This trip is our reminder that experiences deserve a spot on the calendar too.
